Site Plan Preparation Checklist
A clear brief helps us understand the property, the proposed work and what the reviewing agency expects. Use this checklist before requesting a site-plan quote.
You can contact us even if some documents are missing. We will review what is available and identify which gaps affect the drafting scope.
Property Details
- Full project address and city or county jurisdiction.
- Assessor parcel number if available.
- Owner or authorized project contact.
- Known easements, access arrangements and property constraints.
Existing Records
Send an existing survey, approved site plan, prior permit drawings or other relevant property documents. Include the source and date where known. A public parcel map or aerial image should not be represented as a licensed boundary survey.
Proposed Improvements
Describe what is new, what remains and what will be removed. Include a project sketch and available dimensions. For an ADU or JADU, identify whether the work is detached, attached or a conversion.
Photos and Measurements
Photographs can show structures, driveways and site features that are difficult to interpret from older records. Label owner or contractor measurements so their source is clear. Exact boundaries, levels or field conditions may require verification by an appropriate licensed professional.
Agency Instructions
Include the current submittal checklist, application reference and complete written review comments. Tell us if the plan must coordinate with architectural, structural, civil or landscape drawings.
Deliverables to Confirm
Agree on the required sheets, scale, PDF format, any editable CAD files, revision scope and expected delivery date. The written quote should identify the source information used and any separate services needed. See our drafting scope guide.
Before You Submit
Check that the address, project description, existing and proposed footprints, drawing dates and revision numbers agree across the package. Follow the reviewing agency’s current naming and upload instructions.
Send Your Project Brief
